Abstract

This work is the result of theoretical research linked to the experimentation of the work The Structuring of the Self, by Lygia Clark. In it, we analyzed the sensory experience in the context of simulating the work of the visual artist, reflecting on forms of self-production in relation to the relational objects that compose it. The objective is to explore the public's aesthetic experience, highlighting the modes of appropriation, interpretation and production of meanings given in the process of incorporating artistic materials. From Lygia Clark's perspective, the participant becomes the producer of the work, reinventing himself through practices with relational objects. The process aims to deconstruct our sensations, leading us to the perceptual plane as support for our aesthetic experience in a phenomenologically embodied sense. In carrying out this research, we used the cartographic method applied to the mapping of theoretical intercessors and in the plan of concrete experimentation of the artist's works, in an arrangement between themes such as the body, sensoriality, invention and self-care. So we carried out simulations of The Structuring of the Self with voluntary participants. Monitoring the experiments and the interviews carried out allowed us to better reflect on how the production of meanings takes place in the field of the experience of a self-making operated on the aesthetic plane.
