Abstract

This article presents an analysis of modes of subjectivation linked to relationships with health practices within the Amazonian territory. It addresses the task of conceptualizing and outlining modes of existence in relation to the forest and the manifold beings that constitute these territories. It engages with the production of difference across the planes of ritual practices, diverse agencies, trails, sociotechnical assemblages, animisms, and perspectivisms. It problematizes the constitution of bodies—formed through the confluence of encounters and varying potentials across cosmogonies and desiring force-flows—within collective assemblages of enunciation. This process encompasses composting, geophilosophy, and affirmative modulations of health production arising from encounters with fauna, waters, earth, fruits, flowers, plants, fungi, the subsoil, crafts, festivals, languages, songs, dances, music, cultural expressions, and dreams. The article concludes that there exists a politics of resistance against the development of large-scale projects and their exploitative expropriations.
